Now Jimin Kyung is a member of Hyundai E&C. Jimin Kyung was recently notified of his acceptance by Hyundai E&C through a test.
Jimin Kyung, a former high school student, was nominated by KGC Ginseng Corporation (currently Jung Kwan-jang Red Sparks) as the second in the first round of the 2016 Rookie Draft. In the debut season of the 2016-2017 season, he won the Rookie of the Year award with a success rate of 176 points in 29 games with a 30.02% receiving efficiency of 27.73%, drawing the attention of many fans.메이저놀이터
However, he has always had trouble with his knee. His left knee held onto his ankle. KGC and Pepper Savings Bank both suffered from injuries in more than a few times. Eventually, they left the team in June 2023. They recorded a success rate of 430 points in 119 games in the V-League, with a receiving efficiency of 26.56 percent.
Jimin Kyung never gave up. At the same time as he rehabilitated his knee, he dreamed of returning to the court as a coach at the volleyball academy represented by Lim Do-hyun, the head of Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance. And Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which needed resources for outside heaters, proposed a test, and Jimin Kyung could return to the court as he dreamed of.
Jimin-kyung, who met at the Hyundai E&C Practice Gymnasium in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do on the 9th, said, "I feel like I'm starting again because I have a blank period. I couldn't give up even though I was away from the court. I was constantly building my body. Lim Do-heon helped me. I did both rehabilitation and ball workouts. I didn't let go of volleyball."
"I'm constantly adapting. My knee muscle has also improved. I think maintaining knee muscle is the most important thing to endure a long season."
Ji Eun-woo, Jimin Kyung's younger brother, is also a professional player. He plays for KB Insurance. He joined the team as a trainee without being nominated in the 2024 Rookie Draft, but was registered as an official player after hard work. He also played in three games and achieved his dream of making a professional debut.
Jimin-kyung said, "I got a lot of motivation from watching my younger brother. From being a trainee to a full-time athlete, it motivated me to see how I overcame those difficulties. That's why I wanted to come back even more."
